Operation Appliance AidSM Makes a Special Holiday Delivery to Veteran Family in Boynton Beach

Kasey Knight, a retired U.S. Navy veteran, received a brand new GE® oven, stove and dishwasher.


Boynton Beach, Fla. (December 26, 2012) – Cross Country Home Services, Inc. (CCHS), one of the country's leading providers of home warranty products and maintenance plans, has given a special holiday gift to a local Boynton Beach veteran as part of their OPERATION APPLIANCE AIDSM: Keeping things running smoothly for our veterans program.  Kasey Knight, a retired U.S. Navy veteran, received a brand new GE® oven, stove and dishwasher.

"We recognize the significant struggles many of these families face,  and we believe that providing help in the form of a new appliance can bring an immediate sense of relief to them and a little holiday cheer."

Knight, is disabled and cannot work, therefore he is attending culinary school to learn a trade as a means to support his family.  He cannot afford to replace his non-working stove and oven – essential items to complete his curriculum at school. Knight's two sons are members of the U.S. Marines Corps; one is currently stationed in Afghanistan and the other just returned from Iraq. 

OPERATION APPLIANCE AIDSM  was launched earlier this year with great success. Through the program, CCHS provides appliances and appliance packages to veteran and military service families in need in South Florida.  To date, six families have been given appliances and appliance packages, and one family was given an air-conditioning system for their home.  Last month, in honor of Veterans Day, OPERATION APPLIANCE AIDSM was expanded to Anderson, S.C., where the company has a customer care facility.
