Cross Country Home Services Goes the Extra Mile for March Of Dimes


ANDERSON, S.C. (May 7, 2013) – Over 50 Cross Country Home Services (CCHS) employees and their families laced up their walking shoes on Saturday, April 27 in the 75th Annual March for Babies to benefit March of Dimes. The event took place at The Civic Center and marked the fourth year that CCHS participated. Employees raised more than $3,200 in donations, making this year the company's most successful fundraiser for the nonprofit.

"CCHS is proud of our dedicated team in Anderson," said Mike Roneker, Site Director. "Our employees are passionate about giving back to local organizations such as March of Dimes that improve the welfare of children and families in our community."

This year, CCHS emphasized its core values and theme: "Going the Extra Mile for Babies," by holding an employee raffle and hosting a water station that was awarded "Best Checkpoint" for the third consecutive year. Volunteers handed out water to thirsty participants, provided special gifts to children and even kept four-legged participants hydrated as they passed by. Following the five-mile walk, CCHS hosted a celebratory barbecue lunch where they honored participants with certificates and provided additional gifts for children in attendance.
