Operation Appliance AidSM Makes Two Spring Deliveries to Veteran Families in Anderson

ANDERSON, SC. (Apr. 2, 2013) Cross Country Home Services, Inc. (CCHS), one of the country's leading providers of home warranty products and maintenance plans, presented an unexpected gift on April 1 to two local Anderson, S.C. veterans as part of its OPERATION APPLIANCE AIDSM: Keeping things running smoothly for our veterans program.  Curtis Gooding, a retired U.S. Army veteran who served during the Korean War, received a new refrigerator, washer, dryer and wheelchair ramp. Tim Thacker, a retired Army veteran of the 82nd Airborne Division, also received a washer and dryer.

"CCHS is very proud to be an American company, and the Operation Appliance Aid program reflects the strong patriotic sentiments and appreciation for our veterans felt throughout our company. Giving back to veterans who live in the communities where our offices are located is a real privilege," said CCHS's Anderson site director Mike Roneker. "We recognize the significant struggles many of these families face, and we believe that providing help in the form of a new appliance can bring an immediate sense of relief to them."

OPERATION APPLIANCE AID was launched last year in South Florida and South Carolina through partnerships with the United Way of Broward County and the Anderson Interfaith Ministries (AIM).

Through the program, CCHS provides new appliances, appliance packages and home systems to veteran and military service families in need. To date, nine families have been helped, and CCHS's goal is to expand the program across the country.
